True Ownership, More Access: Candy x OpenSea
Candy Digital is proud to be a launch partner for OpenSea’s Solana integration, and, at launch, the only digital collecting platform dedicated to both sports and comics participating in the rollout.
Candy Fans,
When we began this new chapter at Candy, we made a few commitments to ourselves and, more importantly, to you.
We would be transparent about where we are going. We would put ownership back where it belongs: directly in the hands of fans. And we would work relentlessly to make digital collecting simpler, more accessible, and more enjoyable.
Today marks another important step forward.
Opening Candy to More Collectors
Candy Digital is proud to be a launch partner for OpenSea’s Solana integration, and, at launch, the only digital collecting platform dedicated to both sports and comics participating in the rollout.
OpenSea has long been one of the defining names in digital collectibles. They have helped shape how collectors discover, buy, sell, and engage with digital assets, and we are excited to be building alongside them.
For Candy, though, this is about more than another marketplace.
It is about access. And, just as importantly, true ownership.
When we say you own a Candy collectible, we believe you should actually own it.
That means your collection should not be trapped inside a closed platform or dependent solely on Candy to access it. Through self-custody, collectors control their own wallets and their own collectibles. They can choose where to hold them, how to engage with them, and, as integrations like OpenSea expand, where they want to participate in the broader collecting ecosystem.
That freedom is fundamental to what we are building.
Our move to Solana was designed to make that possible: giving Candy collectors greater control over what they own while opening the ecosystem to more places, more experiences, and ultimately more collectors.
The best collecting ecosystems are not walled gardens. They are easy to enter, easy to understand, and built around the idea that the collector, not the platform, owns the collectible.
Making Digital Collecting Easier
Ownership only matters if the experience surrounding it works.
We have worked hard to remove friction from digital collecting, from simplifying wallet ownership and secondary-market participation to making the overall Candy experience easier to navigate.
OpenSea represents another important step in that effort.
Over the coming days, we will be sharing educational content designed to spotlight best practices when listing, selling, and buying Candy collectibles on OpenSea. As we expand the ways fans can collect, we also want to make sure they have the information and tools to do so confidently.
We have worked to bring greater ease to digital collecting, and we are not letting up anytime soon.
What Comes Next
Our ambition remains straightforward: build the easiest and most compelling way to collect officially licensed digital sports and entertainment collectibles while giving fans real control over what they own.
That means continuing to make Candy easier to use. It means opening more doors into the ecosystem. And it means building around a simple principle: when a collector acquires something, it should belong to them.
This OpenSea integration is another step toward that future and another opportunity to welcome collectors who may be discovering Candy for the first time.
To the Candy community, thank you for your continued support, your feedback, your patience, and your belief in where we are headed. You have played an important role in shaping this next era of Candy, and we are incredibly grateful to have you along for the ride.
And to the collectors discovering Candy through OpenSea for the first time: welcome.
We’re just getting started.
Up and to the right,
Tad | CEO, Candy Digital
