Built for Power: The 2026 MLB Gold Series Debuts with Power
Candy’s 2026 MLB Gold Series is here, beginning with Power: a six-player lineup featuring some of the most feared power hitters in baseball.
Power doesn’t whisper. It clears the fence.
Candy’s 2026 MLB Gold Series is here, beginning with Power: a six-player lineup featuring some of the most feared power hitters in baseball:
- Shohei Ohtani
- Juan Soto
- Manny Machado
- Freddie Freeman
- Kyle Schwarber
- Vladimir Guerrero Jr.
With only 36 packs available, historic edition sizes and six superstar ICONs in every pack, Power represents the most stacked pack release Candy has ever created.
And for the first time, fans will have the opportunity to claim them through the Candy Digital Reverse Auction.
Built Around What Makes Collectibles Matter
Candy CEO Tad Smith has spoken about the qualities that allow art and collectibles to endure: they capture attention, tell compelling stories, connect people to a community, remain scarce, can be truly owned and are visible to the world.
The 2026 MLB Gold Series was built around those principles.
Power pairs those qualities with a new auction format grounded in transparency and choice. The current price, available inventory and predetermined reductions will all be visible throughout the auction, allowing each collector to decide when desirability, scarcity and price meet.
This isn’t about starting over. It’s about taking what made Candy extraordinary and making it better, through clearer ownership, greater transparency and a relentless focus on the fan experience.

Six Players. Six ICONs. One Stacked Pack.

Every Power pack contains six 2026 MLB Gold Series ICONs—one featuring each player in the complete Power lineup.
Each player has only 36 Gold Series ICONs available across three rarity tiers:
- 25 Rare ICONs, individually numbered to /25
- 10 Epic ICONs, individually numbered to /10
- One Legendary ICON, a true 1-of-1
These are the lowest edition sizes Candy has ever offered for Rare and Epic MLB ICONs. Combined with a one-of-one Legendary for each player, every pull carries serious scarcity.
Each pack is guaranteed to contain at least one Epic ICON, with a strong chance of pulling two. With six Legendary ICONs distributed across only 36 packs, every pack also carries a one-in-six chance of containing a Legendary.
And somewhere inside the release is the one and only Shohei Ohtani Legendary ICON—giving each pack a one-in-36 chance of delivering the ultimate Power pull.
Limited-Edition Inserts

The chase doesn’t stop with the Gold Series lineup.
Power packs may also contain one of two special inserts:
- A Juan Soto Pixicon Insert, numbered to just /5
- A Shohei Ohtani commemorative Insert celebrating his 10th home run of the 2026 season, which secured his sixth consecutive season with double-digit home runs
Any pack containing an insert will include seven ICONs instead of six, with the insert added as a bonus ICON.
How the Candy Digital Reverse Auction Works
A traditional auction starts low and rises as bidders compete. A reverse auction moves in the opposite direction.
Power packs will begin at $2,500, with the price automatically decreasing by $50 every 3-minutes. Fans can purchase at the current displayed price or wait to see whether the price moves lower.
But waiting comes with a risk: another collector may decide the current price is right and claim the available inventory first.
That creates a simple strategic choice:
Buy now and secure your packs, or wait for a lower price and risk missing out.
Fans will be able to choose how many available packs they want to purchase at the current price. There will be no limit per transaction, meaning a collector can purchase one pack, several packs or, hypothetically, sweep every remaining Power pack at once.
With only 36 packs available, every purchase will reduce the remaining inventory and raise the stakes for everyone still watching the auction.
This is a true art-auction experience that gives fans the opportunity to determine what the collection is worth to them and potentially own the entire six-player Power release.
The First of Six Gold Series Themes
Power is only the beginning.
New 2026 MLB Gold Series releases are planned every few weeks, with each drop built around a distinct six-player theme:
- Power
- Next Gen
- Breakout
- All Gas
- Aces
- Award Winners
The featured players, pack details and Reverse Auction information will be revealed ahead of each release.
Power sets the tone: superstar players, unprecedented scarcity, historic edition sizes and the possibility of pulling a one-of-one Legendary ICON.
Only 36 packs exist.
The price will be moving down. The inventory could disappear at any moment. Choose your spot and swing for the fences.
