2026 MLB Base Series ICONs Return for Drop 2

Following the sellout of Drop 1, the 2026 MLB Base Series ICONs return Wednesday, July 22, at 5 p.m. ET with another limited release of 500 packs.

Drop 1 marked Candy’s first primary MLB drop of 2026 and fans showed up. All 500 packs sold out within seconds.

As part of this pilot, Drop 1 also helped us identify several areas where we can improve the purchasing experience. Our team has been working to address issues related to checkout, the loading of platform credits, email confirmations, and the time it takes for newly purchased items to appear in collections.

Drop 2 gives us another opportunity to test those improvements while opening the Base Series chase to more fans.

Drop 2 Details

Here’s what fans can expect:

  • On-Sale Date: Wednesday, July 22, 2026
  • On-Sale Time: 5 p.m. ET
  • Drop 2 Supply: 500 packs
  • Price: $10 + applicable taxes and fees
  • Pack Contents: 10 ICONs per pack
  • Transaction Limit: One pack per transaction; no cooldown
  • Core Mint Count: /250
  • Rainbow Insert Mint Count: /15 per featured Rainbow player
  • Rainbow Pull Odds: 15%

The one-pack transaction limit is intended to give as many fans as possible an opportunity to participate. There will be no cooldown, so fans may complete another transaction while packs remain available.

All other Base Series details, including the player checklist, Rainbow Inserts, and Collection Quests, remain unchanged from Drop 1.

The 2026 MLB Base Series includes 2,500 total packs released across multiple drops, featuring 100 MLB stars, rookies, and rising names including Candy First Mints for Ben Rice, Munetaka Murakami, and Kevin McGonigle.

Fans can continue building toward three Collection Quest rewards:

  • Full Set Collection Quest: Own all 100 Base Series ICONs to earn a Shohei Ohtani Reward ICON.
  • Partial Set Collection Quest: Own any 50 Base Series ICONs to earn an Aaron Judge Reward ICON.
  • Rainbow Set Collection Quest: Complete a five-color Rainbow set for an eligible player to earn that player’s Rainbow Reward ICON.

Drop 2 brings another 500 packs into the chase and another opportunity to build toward those rewards.
