And to all those fans who have asked, yes, Rainbows are back! Now, let’s get into it.

2026 Base Series ICONs: Where Candy’s MLB Collecting Season Begins

Base Series is Candy's first MLB drop of 2026 and kicks off a season built around ICONs, our primary product focus this year.

As the first drop of this new Candy era, it is also the foundation for what comes next.

Base Series packs will release in smaller batches approximately every two weeks throughout the summer. Each drop gives collectors a new opportunity to rip packs and build their collection as the season rolls into the dog days.

The first drop will feature 500 Base Series packs, giving collectors an early taste of the chase and their first introduction to the Diamond Economy.

This is where Candy's 2026 MLB collecting season begins.

What's in the Pack?

Here's what fans can expect from 2026 Base Series ICONs:

Collection Quests

Base Series isn't just about ripping packs, it's about building towards a new way of collecting.

Three Collection Quests run alongside the drops, all ending when Base Series goes off sale (date to be announced).

  • Full Set Collection Quest: Own all 100 Base Series ICONs and earn a Shohei Ohtani Reward ICON.
  • Partial Set Collection Quest: Own any 50 Base Series ICONs and earn an Aaron Judge Reward ICON.
  • Rainbow Set Collection Quest: Complete a full five-color Rainbow set (Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Pink) for any eligible player — Munetaka Murakami, Bobby Witt Jr., Mike Trout, Junior Caminero, or Paul Skenes — and earn a Rainbow Reward ICON for every set you complete.

Qualifying ICONs must be held in your Candy.io account at the quest deadline. Full official terms and conditions apply. Applicable terms and conditions to come.

Behind the Design

Base Series ICONs

Candy's return to the game, built around the players who define America's pastime. Bold photography, sharp typography, and bespoke team color treatments. Flip each collectible for live 2026 stats: team, position, uniform number; a snapshot of the season as it happens.

Rainbow Variants

Rainbows are back. Five colorways, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Pink, each reimagining the Base design in bold monochrome, with a unique :05 highlight on the back. Collect all five of a player to unlock a Rainbow Reward: a :30 montage that fuses every moment into one.

Collection Rewards

Premium animated finishes forged in steel and polished gold. The Partial Set unlocks a :45 highlight. The Full Set delivers a 1:30 montage of one of 2025's most memorable moments. Base Series, elevated into digital relics.

Introducing the Diamond Economy

Base Series is the first step in Candy's Diamond Economy, a new system designed to give fans more ways to build their collection throughout the season.

At its core, the Diamond Economy is simple: Collect. Burn. Earn Platform Credits. Level up.

Throughout the 2026 season, fans will have opportunities to burn Candy collectibles during designated burn windows to earn platform credits, participate in quests, and unlock access to new collecting opportunities.

All Candy collectibles will be eligible to burn for platform credits. To kick off the first burn window, 2026 Candy collectibles will carry a higher credit value than legacy collectibles. Each 2026 collectible earns 0.50 in platform credits, and each legacy collectible earns 0.25.**

Candy will use a dynamic burn credit system throughout the 2026 season, which means these values won't stay fixed. Credit values may vary based on the specific drop, collectible type, rarity, collection, or quest, and will continue to move as the season progresses.

That means Base Series packs give fans more than just ten ICONs to rip. Pull something you love? Keep it. Pull something you want to move? Trade it. Pull something you want to use? Burn it.

By earning burn credits, fans can work toward higher-tier opportunities within the Diamond Economy, including access to future Gold and Diamond Auctions.

Think different pack configurations, unique collecting experiences, and the chance to pursue Rares, Epics, Legendaries, and other special ICONs available through designated events, the kind of heat that makes the group chat wake up.

More Than Packs

The Diamond Economy is not just about the next auction. It is about giving fans more opportunities to engage throughout the season.

Alongside Base Series, Candy will be rolling out a slate of other burning and collecting quests designed to give fans the chance to unlock real rewards. Stay tuned…

Some quests will be built around burning. Others will be built around collecting. Some will reward fans for staying active week after week.

The goal is to make the Candy MLB season feel alive. Not one drop and done. Not a pack sitting in your collection with nowhere to go.

More quests. More rewards. More reasons to stay in the game.

Legacy Assets Matter

One of the biggest goals of the Diamond Economy is to bring legacy Candy assets back into the conversation.

Over the years, fans have collected ICONs, Gems, and other Candy assets from some of the biggest names, moments, and collections across the platform. Those collections matter.

With the Diamond Economy, legacy assets will have a new role in the 2026 collecting experience. Fans will be able to use their existing Candy collectibles during burn windows to earn credits, participate in quests, and work toward future opportunities.

Base Series introduces the new class. Legacy assets help power the climb.

Together, they create a more active Candy ecosystem where fans can make decisions, chase rewards, and find new utility across their collection.

The First Look Toward Gold & Diamond

Base Series ICONs are Candy's first MLB drop of 2026.

Gold and Diamond Auctions are next.

In the coming weeks, Candy will share more details on how Gold Auctions will work, how fans can qualify, and what types of premium ICONs will be available through them.

Soon, the chase begins with the Base Series.

Rip the packs. Chase the Rainbows. Find the First Mints. Hold your favorites. Burn what you want to put to work.

The Diamond Economy starts here. Play ball!

**Platform credits are redeemable only within the Candy platform, carry no cash value, and are non-transferable. Credits cannot be exchanged or redeemed for cash and have no use outside of Candy.
