Candy Collectibles Are Moving to Solana
Beginning in May (with the exact date to be announced soon), we will begin migrating Candy collectibles to Solana.
Candy Fans,
Today, I’m excited to share an important next step in the future of Candy Digital.
Beginning in May (with the exact date to be announced soon), we will begin migrating Candy collectibles to Solana.
This move reflects a simple belief: fans deserve their assets on a fast, secure, scalable blockchain built for long-term ownership and broader utility.
By moving to Solana, fans will gain access to a leading ecosystem with low-cost transactions, trusted self-custody options, and broader marketplace opportunities.
We will also utilize Metaplex Core to support royalty functionality on future resales.
Metaplex Core gives Candy access to more flexible on-chain tooling that can power entirely new fan experiences over time, from smarter rewards and dynamic collectibles to new forms of digital utility and AI agent-driven experiences to go beyond static ownership.
We chose this path because it aligns with where many of the most ambitious builders in the Solana ecosystem are headed, and we intend to build at the front of that movement.
Most importantly, we are committed to making this process simple and fan-friendly.
Why We Chose Solana
We evaluated this decision carefully. Our priorities were clear:
- Strong security and proven scale
- Fast, low-cost transactions
- A growing fan ecosystem
- Access to liquid third-party marketplaces
- Trusted self-custody wallet support
- Long-term durability for digital ownership
- Strong royalty compliance and enforcement
Solana met those standards.
What Comes Next
This migration is the foundation, not the finish line.
We will share additional details, timelines, and a full FAQ well before the migration begins so fans know exactly what to expect.
In the meantime, if you have urgent questions, please reach out to [email protected].
Thank you for your continued support. We’re building again, and this is only the beginning.
Up and to the right,
