In 2024, we introduced Gems as the definitive way to collect and own the most electrifying on-field moments. Now, in 2025, we’re leveling up.

This season, Gems are more accessible, engaging, and packed with new ways to collect and compete. We’re keeping the best of what made Gems special and adding even more ways for baseball fans to experience the game’s biggest and best highlights.

What’s Coming Back?

Some fan-favorite aspects of Gems are making their return, including two of the most sought-after limited edition sets:

🔹 Inaugural Marks – These ultra-limited Gems, numbered to 99, highlight the biggest rookie debuts and give collectors the chance to own history from the game’s future stars.

🟩 Emerald Variant Collection Challenge – We heard collector feedback loud and clear!

Instead of burning low-edition Inaugural Marks, a season-long Collection Challenge will earn this year’s Emerald Variants. 

Collectors who secure every 2025 Inaugural Mark will receive an Emerald Variant Reward Pack, keeping the original Inaugural Marks intact while offering an exclusive way to chase the rarest versions.

🏆 Milestone Marks – Some moments are just too big to ignore. Once a player reaches one of baseball’s most historic milestones, these limited-edition Gems will commemorate their achievements.

2025 Milestone Marks Targets:

• 400 HRs – Mike Trout (378 and counting)
• 3,000 Ks – Clayton Kershaw (2,968 and counting)
• Any Perfect Game Thrown or a once in a generation historic season such as Shohei Ohtani’s 2024 50/50 season

You spoke, we listened—Gems in 2025 embrace a lighter, more refined design.

Each highlight takes center stage, framed by the signature seafoam green, cobalt blue, and royal purple borders. Subtle foil textures and physical slab-inspired accents enhance the design, reinforcing the iconic Gem rarity motif with a sleek yet recognizable aesthetic.

Monthly emblems are stamped onto each card, marking each drop with a distinct visual identity.

And when a play truly stuns, keep an eye out for special illustrations and insignias—our way of celebrating those unforgettable moments.

Introducing Gems Burning Challenges & Spark Cards

What’s one thing Candy MLB collectors love to do? BURN their unwanted Gems. That’s why in 2025, you’ll have the opportunity to do just that while unlocking Epics. 

🔥 Burn Your Way to Epics – Each monthly drop comes with a Burning Challenge that lets collectors burn their Rares to receive an Epic, reskinned version of their Gems featuring the players’ signature.

⚡ Spark Cards – Burn Uncommon Gems to receive a Spark Card, which will be your key to future burning challenges!

🎇 Epic Upgrades – As each new drop is released, collectors will need to strategically burn their Gems to secure an exclusive Epic Upgrade.

By providing more ways to level up collections, Burning Challenges make every Gem even more valuable, ensuring that your collection is always evolving.

Candy Ambassador Passes

Some things in life are truly priceless. Candy is allowing collectors to redeem Ambassador Passes, unlocking exclusive Gems that showcase career highlights from some of the biggest names in baseball.
